Peppers Guest House is ideally located two hours north of Sydney and first opened its doors in 1984 as the very first Peppers Retreat. The concept of a contemporary style guesthouse offering relaxation in luxury surrounds with fine wine and gourmet dining was an instant success and remain the defining elements at the core of our Peppers Retreats today.

Offering a variety of accommodation styles, our retreat features 48 deluxe accommodation rooms and suites, each tastefully furnished in Peppers' distinctive boutique style. There is also one exclusive self-contained four bedroom cottage. Simply slip into the indulgent world of our stunning retreat, sip delicious local Hunter wines on the terrace or head to the retreat’s own endota spa for a touch of invigorating pampering or even try a signature Vinotherapie treatment.

At sunset head to the verandah outside Chez Pok, enjoy a glass of crisp Semillon or famous Hunter Shiraz overlooking the beauty of a sun-set over the vines and you even might be lucky enough to enjoy a visit from the local Kangaroos.

The Hunter Valley is one of Australia’s great wine producing regions with over 100 wineries and Peppers Guest House is ideally located to explore a wide variety of these picturesque properties. Offsite you can also enjoy activities including hot air ballooning, golf, bushwalks, horse riding, 4WD tours and cheese tasting at the Hunter Valley Cheese Company.

And for those wishing to enjoy the wine-country lifestyle with a group of friends or family and require a little more space and privacy, there is an exclusive self-contained four bedroom cottage.

Classic Room

Located on the ground floor, most of our Classic Rooms have French doors leading to the verandah and each features a King size bed and ensuite.

Vintage Room

With very similar features to the Classic Rooms, the Vintage Rooms are located on the first floor with views over the bushland, vineyards or gardens, and feature a king size bed and ensuite.

Heritage Suite

The Heritage Suite’s are charming and spacious king-sized rooms with ensuite and separate lounge area. These suites are ideal for guests wanting more space and a personalised retreat from the world. You may never want to leave.

Homestead

Ideal for families and groups Located only a short stroll from the Main House, the Homestead offers a classic country house escape. Decorated in a warm rustic style, the house is fully self-contained with four twin/double rooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, dining and living room, wide verandahs, a private courtyard with BBQ and children's play area, open fire, private pool and access to all services and facilities. Of course you are also welcome to use the other facilities at Peppers Guest House.

Make your weekend all that more indulgent by letting them arrange a private chef & butler to create a special dinner party menu in the complete privacy of the Homestead. Enjoy a massage at the onsite Endota spa or unwind with a glass of Hunter Shiraz in the bar or by the fire, while you leave the rest to us.
