Designed by Graham Marsh and Ross Watson and first opened in 1990 the par 72 course measures 6,592 metres off the championship tees (with four tee spots on offer) and its’ AGU rating of 76 offers the first clue as to the scale of the challenge that awaits the keen golfer. Resort Swimming Pool Paradise Palms Resort has 2 swimming pools. One is a lagoon style swimming pool exclusive for guests of the resort. A lap pool is also situated adjoining the resort. Children's Adventure Park (Future Development) An innovative Children's Adventure Playground is due to open with the resort and will include 2 acres of playground surrounded by a Putt Putt course, and swimming pool with waterslides and kids water features. The park is accessed by a kiosk and cafe which serves light snacks and refreshments. Fitness Centre (Future Development) A full service fitness centre is due to open and will be accessible by both resort guests and the public. Red's Day Spa & Salon (Future Development) Award winning Reds day spa & salon will be opening at Paradise Palms Resort & Country Club in the near future. Reds has another salon and spa at sister property The Lakes Cairns Resort & Spa. Reds salons have won most of the worlds top hairdressing awards, including L’Oreal colour trophy and Schwarzkopf hairdresser of the year and were named a finalist in Australia’s Best New Salon Awards when it opened in 2000.
